Impact Medical Ltd ("Impact Medical", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or contact us, how we use it, and the rights you have under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

1. Information we collect

We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our business. This may include:

  • Contact details you provide through our enquiry form — such as your name, company, work email and any message you send us.
  • Correspondence — records of emails, calls and meetings relating to a potential or existing partnership.
  • Technical information — basic, non-identifying data your browser sends automatically, such as device type and pages visited (see Cookies & analytics below).

You are not required to provide personal information, but if you don't we may be unable to respond to your enquiry.

2. How we use it

We use the information you provide to:

  • respond to your enquiry and communicate with you about a possible partnership;
  • provide, manage and improve our services;
  • maintain our business records; and
  • meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we will not use it for unrelated purposes without your consent.

3. Cookies & analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to help the site function and to understand how it is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, although some features may not work as intended. If we use third-party analytics, those providers process limited, aggregated information on our behalf.

4. Sharing & disclosure

We treat your information as confidential. We may share it only:

  • with trusted service providers who help us operate (for example, email or hosting providers), under appropriate confidentiality obligations;
  • where required or authorised by law; or
  • with your consent.

5. Storage & security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Information may be stored with reputable providers who may hold data outside New Zealand; where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protections apply.

6. Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law, after which it is securely deleted or de-identified.

7. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and to request correction if it is inaccurate. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with its effective date.

10. Contact us

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, please contact us at hello@impactmedical.co.nz. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
